PATNA – The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the online registration deadline for Class 10 and Intermediate (10+2) examinations for 2026. Students and schools now have until October 20, 2025 , to complete the registration process, which includes a late fee payment. The previous deadline for these registrations was October 6, 2025 .
This extension applies to all eligible candidates for the upcoming 2026 board examinations. The decision aims to ensure all students can participate, according to official announcements made by BSEB on X (formerly Twitter). The board indicated “the ongoing process” as a primary reason for implementing this new deadline.
Mandatory Declaration Form Submission
For students whose registration or permission applications were submitted by October 5, 2025, or will be submitted between October 6 and October 20, 2025, a mandatory declaration form is required. This form is designed to ensure the accuracy and verification of all submitted student details.
- The declaration form must first be downloaded.
- It requires signatures from the student, a parent or guardian, and the head of the educational institution.
- The fully signed form must then be uploaded to the official BSEB portal.
- The final deadline for uploading this declaration form also remains October 20, 2025 .
Earlier Registration Window and Board’s Recommendation
This current extension follows a previous late registration window for the 2026 examinations, which concluded on September 3, 2025 . The Bihar Board provided this additional period to accommodate students who may have encountered technical or logistical challenges during earlier registration attempts.
BSEB has strongly urged all students and schools to complete the registration process and submit the required declaration forms well in advance of the October 20, 2025 , deadline. This proactive approach aims to prevent any last-minute issues or complications.
