JKBOSE Class 10 Date Sheet Revised for Bye-Elections

SRINAGAR – The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has revised the Class 10 annual exam date sheet for winter-zone areas. This change comes in response to upcoming assembly bye-elections. Key papers, including Science and Social Science, have been rescheduled.

According to the revised schedule, the Social Science paper will now take place on November 26 . The Science subject exam has moved to November 13 . No examinations will be held on November 7 and November 14.

Reason for Revision

The rescheduling directly addresses assembly bye-elections slated for November 11 in the Budgam and Nagrota constituencies. The original exam schedule conflicted with these election dates, prompting the board to adjust timings to ensure smooth conduct for both processes.

JKBOSE confirmed the changes through an official notification. The board stated the revision was made “in view of Assembly Bye-elections.”

Exam Details Unchanged

Despite the date changes, the examination timings and designated centers remain as previously notified. The Class 10 annual exams for both Kashmir and Jammu divisions commenced on November 3 with the Mathematics paper.

Approximately 95,000 students are participating in these annual theory exams. These students are appearing at 994 different examination centers across the region, as reported by the school education department.
