About This Scholarship
This scholarship program, "Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to SBC Students, Maharashtra 2025-26," is a valuable initiative from the VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra. It aims to support students from Special Backwards Classes (SBC) who are pursuing education from Class 11 onwards. Selected candidates will receive 100% reimbursement of their tuition fees and examination fees. The benefits are structured differently based on the course of study. A freeship is provided for students enrolled in professional courses such as Health Science (Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, Unani, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Business Aid, Nursing), Engineering, Pharmacology, HMCT (Diploma and Degree), MBA/MMS, and MCA.
For students pursuing diplomas or degrees in agricultural fields, including Agricultural colleges (diploma), Dairy Business Department (diploma), Colleges for Agricultural and Allied subjects (degree and postgraduate), Agriculture and Bio-Technology Colleges (degree and postgraduate), and Agriculture and Food Technology Colleges (degree and postgraduate), a scholarship will be awarded.
Furthermore, students enrolled in D.Ed. and B.Ed. courses will also receive a 100% benefit, with the fee structure for aided or unaided institutions following government rates.
The selection process for this scholarship is straightforward: candidates will be chosen based on the fulfillment of the specified eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be an Indian citizen.
• Be a domicile of Maharashtra.
• Belong to the Special Backwards Classes (SBC) category.
• Be pursuing a government-approved course at the post-matric level (Class 11 and above) in a government, government-aided, or private institution.
• Have taken admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) process for professional courses.
• Have an annual family income of less than or equal to ₹8,00,000.
Important Notes:
• Applicants must have been admitted to government, government-aided, private non-aided, or private permanently non-aided institutions for professional courses to be considered eligible.
• If an applicant is admitted through the Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges entrance examination or through the government common entrance examination, they will be eligible for a freeship.
• Applicants who are admitted to deemed universities for professional courses are not eligible for this scheme.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
• Caste and income certificate issued by a competent authority.
• HSC or SSC marksheet, or the marksheet of the last examination passed.
• Gap certificate (This is not mandatory but is required in case there has been a gap in studies).
• Declaration certificate of parents/guardians regarding the number of children beneficiaries.
• Father's death certificate (if applicable).
• Caste validity certificate (required for professional courses as per GR dated 31st July 2008).
• CAP Allotment Letter (mandatory for professional courses).
• Leaving certificate.
• Ration card.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply for this scholarship by following these steps:
1. Access the official website portal.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. If you are already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button, located on the right-hand side of the dashboard, and click on it.
4. Fill in all required details accurately. Verify your email and phone number, then enter the captcha, and click on the 'Register' button.
5. After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button, which is also on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Log in using your newly created username and password.
7. Proceed to fill in all the necessary details, upload the required documents as specified, and finally, submit your application.
