The Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC Students, Maharashtra 2025-26 is a significant opportunity provided by the VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra. This initiative aims to support Other Backward Classes (OBC) students who are pursuing post-matric education, specifically Class 11 and above. Eligible scholars can receive substantial financial assistance, including up to 100% reimbursement for tuition, examination fees, and other admissible charges.
The scheme offers varying reimbursement policies depending on the type of institution and course:
• Government, government-approved private non-aided, and permanently non-granted colleges: Students admitted through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for professional courses are eligible for a 50% reimbursement of tuition and exam fees approved by the Education Fee Committee.
• Government and aided institutions: Students pursuing professional courses in these institutions are eligible for a 100% reimbursement of tuition and exam fees.
• Non-government and unaided institutions: Students pursuing professional courses in these institutions are eligible for a 50% reimbursement of tuition and exam fees.
• OBC applicants in private unaided institutions: For OBC students pursuing non-professional courses, the fee structure of government-aided institutions will be applied for tuition, exam, and other fees.
Specific Course Eligibility for Freeship and Scholarship:
• A freeship will be provided to students enrolled in courses such as:
• Health Science (Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, Unani, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Business Aid, Nursing)
• Engineering
• Pharmacology
• HMCT (Diploma and Degree)
• MBA/MMS
• MCA
• Scholarship fees will be granted to students pursuing diplomas or degrees in:
• Agricultural colleges (diploma)
• Dairy Business Department (diploma)
• Colleges for Agricultural and Allied subjects (degree and postgraduate)
• Agriculture and Bio-Technology Colleges (degree and postgraduate)
• Agriculture and Food Technology Colleges (degree and postgraduate)

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to OBC Students, Maharashtra 2025-26 scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be an Indian citizen.
• Be a domicile of Maharashtra.
• Belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
• Be pursuing studies at the post-matric level (Class 11 and above) in a government, government-aided, or private institution.
• Have an annual family income of less than or equal to ₹8,00,000.
• For professional courses, admission must have been secured through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
Important Notes regarding eligibility:
• Applicants must have been admitted to government, government-aided, private non-aided, or private permanently non-aided institutions for professional courses.
• If admission is secured through the Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges entrance examination or through the government common entrance examination, applicants will be eligible for a freeship.
• Applicants admitted to deemed universities for professional courses are not eligible for this scheme.
Required Documents
Applicants must provide the following documents to support their scholarship application:
• Caste and income certificate issued by a competent authority.
• HSC or SSC marksheet, or the marksheet of the last examination passed.
• Gap certificate (if applicable; required in case of a study gap).
• Declaration certificate of parents/guardians regarding the number of children beneficiaries.
• Father's death certificate (if applicable).
• Caste validity certificate (mandatory for professional courses as per GR dated 31st July 2008).
• CAP Allotment Letter (mandatory for professional courses).
• Leaving certificate.
• Ration card.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship by following these steps:
1. Visit the official scholarship portal. Look for the "Apply Now" or "New Applicant Registration" option.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in all the required registration details. (If you are already registered, log in using your Gmail, Mobile number, or Email ID).
3. Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button, usually located on the right-hand side of the dashboard, and click on it.
4. Fill in all the necessary details, verify your email and phone number, enter the captcha, and click on the 'Register' button.
5. After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button, typically found on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Log in using your registered username and password.
7. Fill in all the required application details, upload the necessary documents, and then submit your application.
