About This Scholarship
The State Minority Scholarship for Pursuing Higher Professional Education Scholarship (Part I) 2025-26 is an initiative by the Minority Development Department, Government of Maharashtra. This program aims to provide financial assistance to students from religious minority communities.
The scholarship supports those pursuing professional or technical degree/diploma courses. Selected students are eligible to receive a maximum scholarship amount of ₹50,000 per annum or the actual tuition and exam fees, whichever is less.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• be an Indian citizen
• be a domicile of Maharashtra
• belong to minority communities including Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Jain, and Jewish
• have passed SSC from Maharashtra
• have taken admission in professional or technical diploma/degree courses
• hold a bonafide certificate from the respective institution
• have got admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP)/Institute Level
• have an annual family income not exceeding ₹8,00,000
Required Documents
The following documents are required for the application:
• Domicile certificate
• Marksheet of the previous examination
• Residence proof such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Electricity bill, etc.
• Educational certificate • SSC (Class 10) and onwards
• Income and Minority declaration • Affidavit on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper or Income certificate from the employer, if any
Note: A school leaving certificate can also be considered as Proof of Minority or Self Declaration.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:
1. Click on the 'Apply Now' button on the official website.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha, and click on the 'Register' button.
5. After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Log in using the username and password.
7. Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit your application.
