The SOF International Hindi Olympiad (IHO) 2025-26 is a prestigious opportunity presented by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). This Olympiad aims to provide a platform for students from Class 3 to 10 to demonstrate and enhance their proficiency in the Hindi language. Participants have the chance to win substantial awards, including cash prizes, medals, and certificates.
Key Examination Dates for the Olympiad are:
• Exam Date One: 19 September 2025
• Exam Date Two: 19 November 2025
• Exam Date Three: 22 January 2026
Winners will be selected based on their scores and overall performance in the Olympiad.
Awards and Benefits:
The Olympiad offers a comprehensive range of awards at both the International and Zonal Levels. For students in Classes 1 and 2, international and zonal awards are determined by their performance in Level 1. For students in Classes 3 to 10, these awards are based on Level 2 performance. Every participating student receives a participation certificate, while 2nd-level participants also receive a merit certificate.
International Level Awards:
• First Rank: An award of ₹50,000, a gold medal, and a certificate of outstanding performance.
• Second Rank: An award of ₹25,000, a silver medal, and a certificate of outstanding performance.
• Third Rank: An award of ₹10,000, a bronze medal, and a certificate of outstanding performance.
Note on International Level Ties:
• If up to 10 students achieve the same rank, the applicable cash award will be distributed equally among them. Each winner will also be awarded a medal and a certificate in their respective category.
• If 11 or more students secure the same rank, each winner will receive gifts worth ₹1,000, along with a medal and a certificate.
Zonal Level Awards:
• First Rank: An award of ₹5,000, a zonal gold medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
• Second Rank: An award of ₹2,500, a zonal silver medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
• Third Rank: An award of ₹1,000, a zonal bronze medal, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
• 4th to 10th Ranks: Gifts worth ₹500 each, and a certificate of zonal excellence.
• 11th to 25th Ranks: Certificates of zonal excellence.
• 26th Rank and Above: Merit certificate.
Additionally, the top 25 rank holders from Level One at the zonal level will be awarded medals of distinction and certificates of distinction, alongside student performance reports. All rank holders from 26th rank and above at Level 1 will receive a participation certificate and a student performance report.

• If 6 or more students secure the same rank, each winner will receive gifts worth ₹1,000, along with a medal and a certificate.
For both single-level and 2-level exams, a medal of distinction and a certificate of distinction are awarded for 1st-level performance. Zonal medals and certificates of zonal excellence are awarded for 2nd-level performance.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• Be an Indian national.
• Be studying in Class 3 to 10 in a recognized institution/school.

• A recommendation letter signed by the headmaster or principal.
• Academic transcripts, including mark sheets and certificates, as required by the school or SOF.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply for the SOF International Hindi Olympiad by following these steps:
1. Students are primarily requested to contact their respective schools to apply for this opportunity. Schools play a central role in the registration and application process.
2. The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) dispatches prospectuses containing registration forms to all schools already registered with them.
3. Schools that are not yet registered with SOF can request a prospectus by sending an email to info@sofworld.org or by calling (0124)-4951200.
4. Schools must ensure that the duly filled registration forms are returned to SOF by the specified due date.
