About This Scholarship
The SOF Girl Child Scholarship Scheme (GCSS), 2025-26 is an initiative by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) designed to provide crucial financial support to female students. This opportunity targets girls currently studying in Classes 1 to 10 who come from economically disadvantaged families, helping them to continue their school education without interruption.
A total of 300 deserving female students from across India will be selected for this scholarship. Each selected student will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹5,000, aiming to alleviate financial burdens and promote educational access.
The application deadline for this scheme is December 31, 2025.
The selection process involves a careful evaluation of all recommendations submitted by schools. The SOF selection committee will prepare a final list of deserving candidates. These students will then be individually informed through their respective schools, ensuring a smooth and transparent notification process.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
• be a female currently studying in classes 1 to 10 in a recognised school/institution
• have secured at least 60% marks or equivalent in the previous academic year
• have a monthly family income of less than ₹25,000
Note:- Marks criteria can be waived for physically disabled female students.
Required Documents
Applicants must provide the following document:
• A signed copy of the previous year's report card, duly certified by the recommending school's principal.
This document helps verify academic performance and confirms the school's endorsement of the applicant.

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-

2. If you are a new user, click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. If you are already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. Students are requested to contact their school for nomination to apply for this opportunity.
Important Note for Schools:
Schools play a crucial role in this scholarship scheme. They are required to send a proposal recommending a deserving female student for the scholarship. This proposal must include a duly signed recommendation from the Head Master/Headmistress/Principal.
