About This Scholarship
The Sanskriti • Prabha Dutt Fellowship aims to empower and encourage young women journalists who are keen to investigate and conduct research on topics of contemporary relevance in India. This prestigious fellowship is awarded annually, providing an opportunity for fellows to develop a comprehensive book or monograph for subsequent publication within a specified timeframe.
The fellowship program spans 10 months, during which selected fellows receive a substantial grant. The work undertaken can be executed in Hindi, English, or any other recognized Regional Language, promoting diverse linguistic contributions to journalism.
The scholarship grant of INR 1,00,000 is disbursed in two convenient installments. The first installment is provided at the commencement of the fellowship, allowing fellows to initiate their research and project work. The second installment is disbursed upon the successful submission of the complete project, ensuring continued support throughout the fellowship duration.
Applications for the Sanskriti • Prabha Dutt Scholarship are accepted throughout the year, offering flexibility for aspiring journalists to apply when ready.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Sanskriti • Prabha Dutt Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be a female candidate.
• Be an Indian national.
• Be within the age group of 25–40 years.
• Be an active print journalist.
