About This Scholarship
The Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship, Maharashtra 2025-26, is a significant initiative by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. Its primary goal is to extend financial assistance to deserving Scheduled Caste (SC) students pursuing their education in Class 11 and 12.
Under this scheme, selected candidates will receive financial support amounting to ₹300 per month for 10 months, distributed over a total period of two years. It is important to note that this scholarship is provided in addition to any existing GOI scholarship and freeship benefits the student might be receiving.
The selection of candidates is based strictly on the fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• be an Indian national
• be a domicile of Maharashtra
• belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category
• be studying in Class 11 and 12 in a recognised school/institution
• have secured 75% or above marks in Class 10
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
• Domicile certificate
• Caste certificate
• Marksheet and certificate of Class 10
• Transfer certificate/leaving certificate
• Admission receipt for Class 11
• Income certificate (if applicable)
• Disability certificate (if applicable)
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:
1. Click on the 'Apply Now' button on the official website.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details.
(If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha, and click on the 'Register' button.
5. After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Log in using the username and password.
7. Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.
