About This Scholarship
The Post-Matric Scholarship to VJNT Students, Maharashtra 2025-26, is an initiative by the VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra. It aims to provide financial assistance to students belonging to the Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT) category who are studying in Class 11 and higher. This scheme supports their pursuit of higher education by offering a monthly maintenance allowance and other significant benefits.

Monthly Maintenance Allowance: Selected scholars receive a monthly allowance from the admission date until exam completion. The amounts vary by course group and student status (hosteller/day scholar) as follows:

Full Coverage of Fees: Students studying in government, government-aided, or non-aided institutions for professional and non-professional courses will receive 100% of their tuition fees, exam fees, and maintenance allowance.
Allowance Start Date: If admission occurs on or before the 20th of any month, the maintenance allowance is issued for that month. Otherwise, it starts from the next month.
Specific Course Benefits: For D.Ed. and B.Ed. courses, 100% benefits (tuition fees, exam fees, and maintenance allowance) are applicable. For students in government-aided/non-aided D.Ed. and B.Ed courses, the fee structure follows government rates.
Disbursement: Maintenance allowance and exam fees are disbursed upon promotion to the next higher class.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• be an Indian citizen
• be a domicile of Maharashtra
• belong to the Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT) category
• be studying in Class 11 and higher in courses approved by the government
• have secured 75% attendance for the current year
• have an annual family income of less than or equal to ₹1,50,000

• Caste certificate issued by a competent authority
• Income certificate/declaration issued by a competent authority
• Caste validity certificate
• Marksheet of HSC or SSC or last examination
• Gap certificate (Not mandatory, but required in case of a gap)
• Father/Guardian's death certificate (if applicable)
• Ration card
• Leaving certificate
• Declaration certificate of parents/guardians about the number of children beneficiaries
Note:
• Caste validity certificate is mandatory for professional degree courses and professional postgraduate courses. However, it is not mandatory for non-professional courses.
• A maximum of 2 male children from a family are allowed to avail of this scholarship. For female children, this rule does not apply.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:
1. Step 1: Visit the official scholarship portal and find the 'Apply Now' option.
2. Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button at the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha, and click on the 'Register' button.
5. Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Step 6: Log in using the username and password.
7. Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.
