The Post-Matric Scholarship to Lower Income Group Students, Haryana 2025-26 is a significant initiative by the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana government. Additional Benefits:
• Fees: Scholars will receive payment for enrolment/registration, tuition, games, union, library, magazine, medical, examination, and other such fees compulsorily payable to the Institution or University/Board. Refundable deposits like caution money and security deposits are excluded.
• Study Tours: Study tour charges, up to a maximum of ₹100 per year, will be paid to scholars pursuing professional courses. This is limited to actual expenditure incurred on train/bus fares, tanga charges, etc. The Head of the Institution must certify that the study tour is essential for the completion of the course of study.
• Thesis Typing/Printing Charges: Research scholars can also receive thesis typing/printing charges up to a maximum of ₹100, upon recommendation from the Head of the Institution.
Special Provisions for Free Board and Lodging:
Scholars who are entitled to free board and free lodging will receive maintenance charges at adjusted rates:

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• be an Indian national.
• be a domicile of Haryana.
• have passed matriculation or any other equivalent examination, or any higher examination, from a recognised University or Board of Secondary Education.
• have an annual income of less than ₹12,000.
• alternatively, have an annual income of more than ₹12,000 but not exceeding ₹2,000 per annum, except in the case of technical degree courses (e.g., Medical, Engineering, Agricultural and Veterinary courses) where the limit will be ₹2,400 per annum.
Important Note on Eligibility:
• The scholarship will be provided for the study of all recognised post-matriculation courses at specific institutions. These include:
• National Fire Service College, Nagpur
• Air Craft Maintenance Engineer's course
• Training Ship Dufferin courses of training at the Military College, Dehradun
• Pre-examination training course at the Pre-examination training centre at Allahabad and Bangalore, preparing students for I.A.D., etc., examinations.
• Students pursuing post-graduate courses in medicine will be eligible only if they are not allowed to practice during the period of their courses.
• Candidates who, after completing their educational career in one professional line, continue professional studies in a different line (e.g., L.L.B after B.T./B.Ed.) will not be eligible for this scholarship.
• Candidates who, after passing one stage of education, are studying in the same stage of education in a different subject (e.g., I Sc. Jr. after I.A. Jr. or B.Com. after B.A. or M.A. in one subject after M.A. in another subject) will also not be eligible.
• Furthermore, candidates who wish to pursue their studies through correspondence courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents to support their scholarship application:
• Aadhaar card
• Applicant’s photograph
• Applicant's signature
• Haryana domicile certificate
• Caste certificate
• Class 10 and 12 certificates
• Parivar Pehchaan Patra (Family ID)
• Fee receipt
• The last examination passed certificate (not required for 1st-year students)
• BPL certificate (if applicable)
• Parent's death certificate (if applicable)
• Income certificate. Note: In the case of employed parents, a gross annual income certificate from the employer, along with parents' affidavit of income from all other sources, will be required.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:
1. Click on the official website's 'Apply Now' button (if available through a direct link on the official website).
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to complete the 'Registration' process. (If already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Navigate to 'Student Registration' under the 'Student' tab at the top of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Enter the Parivar Pehchaan Patra (Family ID). A list of family members will be displayed. Select the name of the applicant and click on the 'Generate OTP' button.
5. Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) received on the registered Mobile No. and click on the 'Verify OTP' button.
6. After OTP Verification, all the details will be auto-filled in the Registration Form. Cross-check this information carefully.
7. Select the Department and College, create a password, and click on the 'Register' button.
8. Click the login link at the portal and enter your valid credentials to apply for the scholarship.
9. Provide all necessary details such as course, roll number, eligibility information, etc., as requested in the application form.
10. Click on the 'Apply' button to save and submit the application.
