About This Scholarship
The Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability, Maharashtra 2025-26, is a significant initiative from the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. This program aims to provide essential financial assistance to students with disabilities across various educational levels, specifically from Class 11 up to the Ph.D. level.
Students enrolled in government or government-aided institutions within Maharashtra are encouraged to apply. Selected scholars will benefit from a comprehensive support package, including a monthly maintenance allowance and several other valuable benefits designed to facilitate their academic pursuits.
The financial assistance includes a structured maintenance allowance provided for ten months of the year, varying based on the student's group and whether they are a hosteller or day scholar:
• Group A: Hostellers receive ₹1,200 per month, while day scholars receive ₹550 per month.
• Group B and C: Hostellers receive ₹820 per month, and day scholars receive ₹530 per month.
• Group D: Hostellers are awarded ₹570 per month, and day scholars get ₹300 per month.
• Group E: Hostellers receive ₹380 per month, and day scholars receive ₹230 per month.
Blind students also receive an additional allowance: ₹100 for Group A, and ₹75 for Groups B, C, D, and E.
Beyond the monthly allowance, the scholarship covers all mandatory fees payable to the educational institution, including tuition, examination, and other compulsory charges. Furthermore, students are eligible for a project typing expense of up to ₹600 per annum. Those pursuing M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses will receive a maintenance allowance equivalent to the postgraduation rates for Groups A, B, and C.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
• be a domicile of Maharashtra
• have a disability of 40% or more, as certified by a competent authority
• be studying from Class 11 to Ph.D. level at a government or government-aided institution in Maharashtra
• have been admitted through the CAP process

How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:
1. Visit the official scholarship portal.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha, and click on the 'Register' button.
5. After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Log in using the username and password.
7. Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit the application.
