PM YASASVI Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC/EBC/DNT Students, Punjab 2025-26 is an initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the PM YASASVI Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Be an Indian citizen.
• Be a domicile of Punjab.
• Belong to the Other Backwards Class (OBC), Economically Backwards Class (EBC), or De-Notified Tribes (DNT) category.
• Be studying in Class 9 or 10 in a government-recognised school.
• Have an annual parental/guardian income of less than ₹2,50,000 from all sources.
• Not be receiving benefits under any other scholarship scheme for studies in Class 9 or 10.

Important Note: If students are currently receiving benefits under any other scholarship for Classes 9 or 10, they must choose only one scholarship. It is mandatory for them to inform both the awarding authority of the other scholarship and their school principal about their decision to opt for this scheme.

Required Documents

Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents to successfully apply for the scholarship:

Passport-sized photograph: A recent photograph for identification purposes.
Aadhaar card: Mandatory for identity verification.
Domicile certificate: Proof of being a resident of Punjab.
Marksheets/certificates of the previous qualifying examination: To verify academic performance.
Caste certificate: Issued by a government officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar (if applicable, to prove OBC/EBC/DNT category).
Income certificate: Of parent(s)/guardian(s), issued by an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar, demonstrating an annual income less than ₹2,50,000.
First page of the student's bank account passbook: For direct transfer of scholarship funds.

How to Apply

Eligible applicants can apply for the PM YASASVI Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme by following these detailed steps through the official website, likely the National Scholarship Portal (NSP):

1. Step 1: Visit the official website for this scholarship, typically the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
2. Step 2: If you are a new user, click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. If already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR (One-Time Registration) option, as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
5. Step 5: If you are a new user for NSP OTR, click on 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Step 6: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
7. Step 7: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
8. Step 8: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process.
Note: This is a temporary registration number; students will need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.
9. Step 9: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
10. Step 10: Select the specific scholarship, fill in all the required details accurately, upload the necessary documents, and finally submit your application.

Important Considerations:
• All applicants are strongly advised to fill in the information correctly and completely on the application form.
• Once the application is submitted, no changes or edits can be made.
• Submitting multiple applications for the same scholarship will lead to immediate disqualification.
