About This Scholarship

The PM Yasasvi Post-Matric Scholarship, offered by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, provides crucial financial assistance to students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and Denotified and Nomadic Tribes (DNT) communities in Sikkim. This scheme aims to support students pursuing post-matric level education, helping them cover essential academic expenses.

Important Notes on Benefits:
• Students pursuing CA/ICWA/CS/ICFA will be treated as day scholars for academic allowance purposes.
• Students studying through correspondence or online courses are not eligible for the academic allowance. However, they will be eligible for tuition fees.

Freeship Card Provision:
A crucial aspect of this scheme is the Freeship Card. All eligible students will be issued a freeship card by the state government. This card allows them to gain admission to institutions without the pre-payment of tuition and hostel fees. This means students can attend school without immediate financial burden, as the institution will later receive the fees directly from the scholarship funds.

The application deadline for this scholarship is October 31, 2025. For any inquiries, you can contact the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, at Room no. 202, 2nd floor C-wing, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi, Delhi-110001.
