About This Scholarship

PM Yasasvi Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in College for OBC, EBC and DNT Students, 2025-26, is an exceptional opportunity for Indian students. It is offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, for students pursuing studies beyond Class 12.

The scheme aims to recognise and promote quality education among Other Backwards Classes (OBC), Economically Backwards Classes (EBC), and Denotified Tribes (DNT) students by providing significant financial support.

Selected students will receive the following benefits:
• Full tuition fee and non-refundable charges (reimbursement up to ₹2,00,000 per annum for public sector institutions and up to ₹3,72,000 per annum for private sector flying clubs for Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses).
Living expenses: ₹3,000 per month.
Books and stationery: ₹5,000 per annum.
• Computer/laptop with accessories like UPS and printer, limited to ₹45,000 as one-time assistance during the course.

The institution will select eligible OBC/EBC/DNT students based on merit as per the entrance examination merit list.
• As the fund is majorly earmarked for OBC, preference would be given to the OBC students while considering them under the scheme.
• If the institution finds that the number of eligible candidates in the first year is less than the number of slots allotted to it, then the remaining slots may be offered to eligible students studying in the second, third, and fourth years based on their previous year's inter-se merit. Priority will be given to those who have a greater number of years left to complete their respective course. For instance, 2nd-year students will be given preference over 3rd-year students and so on.
• Refer to the criteria of the merit list for the Institutions as per the entrance exam in 'Scholarship Guidelines' under Annexure 1.

The application deadline for this scheme is 31 October 2025.
