Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• Be domiciled in Himachal Pradesh, or be a child of a Himachal Pradesh government employee.
• Be enrolled in a diploma course in Engineering and Technology (including Architecture) or any other equivalent course approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
• Have secured 60% marks in the previous qualifying examination, conducted by a recognised board/university.
• Be selected through the Regional Engineering College, Hamirpur, for courses outside Himachal Pradesh.
• Be seeking admission to an Engineering College through a competitive entrance exam for courses unavailable in Himachal Pradesh (provided their merit meets the minimum qualifications for the entrance exam).
• Have an annual parent(s)/guardian(s) income of not more than ₹1,500 from all sources (in case of merit-cum-means basis).
• Note: Guardian income is considered only if both parents are deceased.
• Be pursuing courses unavailable within Himachal Pradesh, even if they are studying outside the state.
Required Documents
The following documents are required for the application:
• A passport-size photograph.
• Aadhaar card.
• Domicile certificate.
• Marksheet/certificates of the previous qualifying examination.
• Caste certificate signed by a Magistrate (First Class) or Tehsildar verifying their category membership.
• Income certificate of the parent(s)/guardian(s) issued by an officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar.
• The first page of the student's bank account passbook.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:
1. Visit the official website and click on the 'Apply Now' button to initiate the application process.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details.
• Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option, as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
5. Click on the 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
6. Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
7. Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
8. Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process.
• Note: This is a temporary registration number; students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.
9. After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
10. Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit.
Note: All applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
