Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NIT Delhi Post-Doctoral Fellowship, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be up to 35 years of age.
• Note: A relaxation of five years in the age limit is provided to applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/Women categories.
• Hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.
• Submit their application within five years of completing their PhD Degree.
Important Notes:
• Candidates who have submitted their PhD Thesis may also apply. However, they will be required to produce the certificate of award of a PhD Degree from their University/Institute before joining the PDF program.
• Candidates who have completed their PhD from NIT Delhi can apply for the PDF program after 3 years of completing their PhD degree. In exceptional cases, this condition may be relaxed, subject to the approval of the competent authority.
• All degrees acquired by the candidate, starting from their Bachelor’s Degree onwards, must be in first class.
• At least one degree must be from a CFTI/Centrally Funded Institute/Institute of Repute.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents with their application:
• A recent passport-size photograph.
• A Date of Birth certificate.
• The duly filled application form, which is available at the end of the 'Fellowship Guidelines' document.
