About This Scholarship
The MCAER Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (AGR), Maharashtra 2025-26, is a vital initiative by the Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research (MCAER). This scholarship aims to provide crucial financial assistance to students who are children of registered labourers and marginal land farmers across Maharashtra.
The scheme offers significant benefits to eligible students for a duration of 10 months. These benefits are categorized based on the student's background and place of study. For children of registered labour or marginal landholders, food allowances can go up to ₹32,000 for those studying in major metropolitan areas like Mumbai suburbs, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and Nagpur. Students in other revenue divisional cities and C-class municipal areas can receive up to ₹28,000, while those in other districts and Talukas receive up to ₹25,000 and ₹23,000 respectively.
Beyond this, additional support is provided based on annual family income. Students with an annual family income up to ₹1,00,000 may receive residence allowances ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000, depending on their study location. For families with an annual income between ₹1,00,000 and ₹8,00,000, a subsistence allowance from ₹5,000 to ₹8,000 is available. The total cumulative benefits can reach up to ₹60,000 over 10 months for students in major urban centers.
The application deadline for this scholarship is March 31, 2025. Candidates will be selected based on their fulfillment of the specified eligibility criteria. The scholarship is sourced from mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• be a domicile of Maharashtra
• be a child of registered labourers/alpabhudharak (marginal land holder) in a recognised institution
• have taken admission in a professional and technical course (UG/PG/diploma degree)
• be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP)
• have taken admission under the General category and Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) category
• have an annual family income is less than ₹8,00,000
• have a minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester (except freshly admitted students)
Required Documents
• Marksheet of Class 10 (S.S.C) and onwards
• Domicile certificate
• CAP-related document
• Registered laborer certificate or Alpabhudharak (Marginal landholder) certificate
• Note: If not a child of an alpabhudharak or registered labourer, then a family annual income certificate is required.
• An undertaking stating that no more than 2 beneficiaries from the family will receive benefits in the current year
• Hosteller documents
• Note: If residing in a private hostel or paying guest, an agreement with the owner will be required.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:
1. Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details.
Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the 'Register' button.
5. After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Log in using the username and password.
7. Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.
