About This Scholarship
Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Sainiki School, Maharashtra 2025-26 is a significant initiative by the Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. This program aims to provide crucial financial assistance to students from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category who are pursuing their education at government or private Sainik schools across the state.
The selected students will receive an annual maintenance allowance, which can be up to ₹15,000 for 10 months.
Benefits of the Scholarship:
The selected students will receive the following benefits:
• For students attending Satara, Nashik, and Pune government Sainik schools, the scholarship amount will be disbursed with respect to their fee structure, as determined by the school education department.
• Students enrolled in private Sainik schools will receive ₹15,000 per annum. This scholarship amount will be disbursed in two instalments.
Important Notes regarding Benefits:
• Students will not receive any extra benefit for more than 10 months.
• If a beneficiary attends school for less than 10 months, they will be paid only for the number of months they attended school from their date of admission.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will be selected based on their fulfillment of the specified eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
• Be an Indian citizen.
• Be a domicile of Maharashtra.
• Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
• Be pursuing studies at government or private Sainik schools.
• Have an annual family income of less than or equal to ₹2,50,000.
Note:-
• All board applicants, except those from Self Finance students' schools, are eligible for the scheme.
• For the second instalment of the scholarship, 60% attendance is mandatory for the current academic year.
• Students are not eligible for scholarships if they fail the examination for the year.
Required Documents
To complete the application, applicants will need to upload the following required documents:
• Caste certificate issued by a competent authority.
• An income certificate issued by a competent authority.
• Fees receipt from the current academic year.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
1. Visit the Official Portal: Navigate to the prematric.mahait.org portal.
2. Register: Click on the 'Register' button and accurately fill in all the required registration details. (Note: If you are already registered, you can log in directly using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Login to Applicant Dashboard: After successful registration on the portal, proceed to click on the 'Applicant login' button, which is typically located on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
4. Select Scholarship: Log in using your registered username and password, and then carefully select the respective scholarship you wish to apply for.
5. Complete Application & Submit: Fill in all the necessary details in the application form, upload all the required documents as specified, and finally, submit your application.
