About This Scholarship

This scholarship initiative, the Maintenance Allowance for SC Students in Professional Courses, Maharashtra 2025-26, is launched by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. Its primary goal is to provide essential financial assistance to Scheduled Caste (SC) students across the state who are pursuing professional courses in recognized institutions.

The allowance structure varies based on the course duration and the student's accommodation status. For students pursuing courses of 4 to 5 years, those residing in government hostels will receive ₹700 per month, while those eligible for government hostels but not admitted will receive ₹1,000 per month. For 2 to 3-year courses, the allowances are ₹500 per month for government hostel residents and ₹700 per month for those not admitted. Students in courses under 2 years will receive ₹500 per month, regardless of their hostel admission status. All allowances are provided for a period of 10 months.
