About This Scholarship
Maharshi Vithhal Ramaji Shinde Scholarship, Maharashtra 2025-26 is a significant initiative by the Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. This scholarship aims to support students from the Scheduled Caste (SC) community who are studying in Classes 1 to 10 at government, government-aided, or private institutions within Maharashtra. The primary goal is to provide financial assistance, fostering their educational journey.
The selected candidates are eligible to receive monthly financial assistance for a duration of 10 months. The amount varies based on the student's class level:
• Classes 1-4: ₹100 per month
• Classes 5-7: ₹150 per month
• Classes 8-10: ₹200 per month
It is important to note that the maximum benefit of the scholarship is for 10 months. If a student attends school for less than 10 months, payments will be provided only for the actual number of months they were enrolled in school, starting from their admission date.
The application deadline for this scholarship is March 31, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• be a resident of Maharashtra
• belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community
• be studying in Classes 1 to 10 in government, government-aided, or private non-aided schools in Maharashtra
• belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) category family
• have passed in all subjects in the previous academic year
Important Notes:
• Students must have passed the previous class to qualify for the scholarship.
• To receive the second instalment of this scholarship, applicants should have at least 60% attendance in the current academic year.
• Students from all boards except those attending self-financing schools are eligible.
Selection Criteria:
Academic performance in the previous year will be a key factor in the selection process.
