Food allowance: Up to ₹32,000 for students in major metropolitan areas like Mumbai suburbs, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and Nagpur. This amount varies for other cities and districts, ranging from ₹23,000 to ₹28,000.
Residence allowance: For students with an annual family income up to ₹1,00,000, this allowance can be up to ₹20,000 in major cities, descending to ₹10,000 in Talukas.
Subsistence allowance: Students with an annual family income between ₹1,00,000 and ₹8,00,000 are eligible for a subsistence allowance of up to ₹8,000 in major cities and ₹5,000 in Talukas.

Overall, the total financial assistance under this scheme can range from ₹38,000 to ₹60,000 for the 10-month period, depending on the category and location of study. This comprehensive support helps alleviate the financial burden on deserving students.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• be a domicile of Maharashtra
• be a child of a registered labourer, child of an alpabhudarak (marginal land holder), or both
• be a hosteller
• have taken admission in a professional and technical course (UG/PG degree) in a recognized institution through Centralized Admission Process (CAP)
• have attempted every semester or annual exam
• have a minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester (except for fresh admits to college)
• have an annual family income of less than ₹8,00,000
• not have a gap of 2 years during the course
