About This Scholarship
The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund invites applications for the Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship, a prestigious opportunity for scholars from various disciplines. Awarded fellows receive a stipend of INR 1,00,000 per month for a duration of two years. This fellowship is exempt from Income Tax under Section 10(17A) of the Income Tax Act. Additionally, an annual grant of INR 75,000 is provided to cover expenses such as secretarial assistance, travel, and other contingencies related to the project.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Fellowship, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a citizen of India.
• Be a scholar in any discipline, including the sciences and the humanities. This also extends to writers, artists, journalists, and civil servants.
• Demonstrate a willingness to pursue a project related to a highly technical and sophisticated subject.

1. A Curriculum Vitae detailing original work and achievements.
2. An experience letter relevant to the field of specialization.
3. A synopsis of the proposed project, typed in double space, not exceeding one thousand words.
4. A recent passport-size photograph.
