About This Scholarship
The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) presents its Winter Internship Program for 2025-26, offering a unique opportunity for students to delve into the development of India's Inland Waterways Transport (IWT) system. This program is designed for individuals pursuing or having completed a Graduate/PG degree, or for research scholars from recognized universities.
Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience over a period of 1 to 3 months. Beyond a monthly stipend, selected candidates will receive an experience certificate and a designated working space. If travel is required for assigned tasks, expenses will be reimbursed as per the entitlement of a Technical Assistant at IWAI.
Please note: Interns are required to have their own laptops, and accommodation is not provided.
All applications received by IWAI will be meticulously reviewed and processed by their Recruitment and Training cell. Offers will be extended to selected candidates based on the availability of positions.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
• be pursuing or have completed their Graduation or Post-Graduation from universities or institutions of national and international repute
• have obtained at least:
• 75% marks in the class 12th examination (for applicants pursuing graduation)
• 60% marks in the graduation degree (for applicants pursuing post-graduation)
• 60% marks in the post-graduation (for Research Scholars)

• A certificate of no objection from the Head of Department/Principal
• Curriculum Vitae
• A photograph
• Aadhaar card

Step 4: Scroll down to page 7 of the document. Students will find Annexure A consisting of 20 questions. This is the prescribed application format.
