About This Scholarship
The Haryana State Meritorious Incentive Scheme 2025-26 is a significant opportunity presented by the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana. It aims to support and encourage meritorious undergraduate and postgraduate students from both general and scheduled caste categories who are currently studying in government colleges across the state of Haryana.
The primary objective of this scheme is to recognize academic excellence by providing financial incentives to top-performing students. The selected candidates can receive an award of up to ₹5,000 per annum.
The incentive amounts are awarded separately for each stream – Arts, Commerce, Science (Medical/Non-Medical), and Education – based on merit position:
• First in Merit: ₹5,000 per annum
• Second in Merit: ₹3,000 per annum
• Third in Merit: ₹2,000 per annum
Selection for the incentive is strictly based on merit. In the event of a tie in marks or percentage, the award will be determined by the marks obtained in the main subjects. It is important to note that the regulations governing this incentive scheme may be subject to modification at any time at the discretion of the government.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
• be a domicile of Haryana
• have secured first, second, or third position in the annual university examination
• be pursuing general courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, or Education streams at a recognised government college
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents while applying for the scholarship:-
• Aadhaar card
• Applicant’s photograph
• Applicant's signature
• Income certificate
• Haryana domicile certificate
• Caste certificate
• Class certificate
• Parivar pehchaan patra
• Fee receipt
• Last exam passed certificate (except for 1st-year students)
• BPL certificate (if applicable)
• Father's death certificate (if applicable)
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps -
1. Click on the 'Apply Now' button on the official scholarship portal.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to complete registration. (Note • If already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Navigate to 'Student Registration' at the top of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Enter your Parivar Pehchaan Patra (Family ID). A list of members will be displayed; select the name of the applicant and click on the 'Generate OTP' button.
5. Enter the OTP received on your registered Mobile Number and click on the 'Verify OTP' button.
6. After OTP Verification, all your details will be auto-filled in the Registration Form. Cross-check all the information carefully.
7. Select your Department and College, create a password, and click on the 'Register' button.
8. Click the login link on the portal and enter your valid credentials to proceed with the scholarship application.
9. Provide all necessary details, including your course, roll number, and eligibility information.
10. Click on the 'Apply' button to save and submit your application.
