About This Scholarship
The Government of India Pre-Matric Scholarship, Maharashtra 2025-26 is an initiative by the Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. It is designed to support Scheduled Caste (SC) category students studying in Classes 9 and 10 at government, government-aided, private, or non-aided institutions.
This scholarship provides significant financial assistance. Selected hostellers receive ₹350 per month for 10 months and an ad-hoc grant of ₹1,000. Non-hostellers are awarded ₹150 per month for 10 months and an ad-hoc grant of ₹750.
The application deadline for this scholarship is March 31, 2026. Selection of candidates will be based on the fulfillment of the detailed eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• Be an Indian citizen.
• Be a domicile of Maharashtra.
• Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
• Be studying in Class 9 or 10 at government, government-aided, private, or non-aided schools or institutions.
• Have an annual family income not exceeding ₹2,50,000.

• Caste certificate.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:
1. Visit the official scholarship portal for this program.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. If already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. After successful registration on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
4. Log in using your username and password, then select the respective scholarship.
5. Fill in all necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit your application.
