About This Scholarship

The Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Maharashtra 2025-26 is an initiative by the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. This program aims to support Scheduled Caste (SC) and Navbouddha students pursuing studies beyond Class 10 within the state. It provides crucial financial assistance to students, helping to reduce dropout rates in educational institutions.

The application deadline for this scholarship is March 31, 2026. Candidates are selected based on their fulfillment of the specified eligibility criteria.

Selected candidates will receive comprehensive financial support for a duration of 10 months each year. This includes a monthly maintenance allowance, with varying amounts for day scholars and hostellers, along with additional disability allowances. All mandatory fees, such as tuition, examination, and other compulsory fees charged by the educational institutions, will also be covered under this scheme.

Monthly Maintenance Allowance (for 10 months in a year):

Group I: Day Scholars receive ₹550, Hostellers receive ₹1,200.
Group II: Day Scholars receive ₹530, Hostellers receive ₹820.
Group III: Day Scholars receive ₹300, Hostellers receive ₹570.
Group IV: Day Scholars receive ₹230, Hostellers receive ₹380.

Other Additional Disability Allowances for All Groups:

Transport Allowance: Up to ₹100 for students residing outside the hostel campus.
Special Pay Allowance for Caretakers:
• ₹100 for leprosy cured, mental retardation/illness, and orthopaedic disability.
Escort Allowance:
• ₹100 for leprosy cured, mental retardation/illness, and orthopaedic disability.
Extra Coaching Allowance:
• ₹150 for students with mental retardation/illness.

In addition to the maintenance allowance, all mandatory and compulsory payable fees, including tuition fees, exam fees, and other fees charged by the institutes, will be covered under this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• be a domicile of Maharashtra.
• belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha community.
• be studying in Class 11 or above.
• have completed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent matriculation.
• have an annual income of less than or equal to ₹2,50,000 from all sources.

Note: Students can pursue only two professional courses under this scheme.

Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

• Income certificate issued by the Tahsildar.
• Caste certificate.
• Marksheet for the last examination.
• Marksheet for SSC or HSC.
• Income certificate (if required).
• Gap and self-declaration certificate (if required).
• Hostel certificate (if required).
• Husband's income certificate (if the applicant is a married female).

How to Apply

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:

1. Visit the official website and click on the 'Apply Now' button.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Click on the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
4. Fill in all required details, and verify your email and phone number.
5. Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometrics.
6. After completing the authentication process, fill in all the required details in the 'Register' tab.
7. Now, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
8. Log in using your username and password.
9. Fill in the necessary details, upload the specified documents, and submit your application.
