About This Scholarship

DTE Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulk Shishyavrutti Yojana (EBC) for Maharashtra Students, 2025-26 is an initiative by the Maharashtra State Department of Technical Education. This scheme aims to provide significant financial assistance to EBC (Economically Backward Class) students. It specifically targets those who have secured admission in diploma, degree, or postgraduate professional and technical courses through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The primary goal is to alleviate the financial burden on students pursuing higher education.

Selected candidates under this scheme will receive substantial financial support towards their academic expenses.

Male students are eligible to receive 50% of their tuition and exam fees.
Female students will benefit from 100% of their tuition and exam fees being covered.

The awarded amount will be disbursed in two instalments. These payments will be directly deposited into an Aadhaar-seeded bank account, ensuring a streamlined and secure transfer of funds to the eligible students.

The application deadline for this scholarship is March 31, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the DTE Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna (EBC), an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• The applicant must possess a domicile certificate of Maharashtra.
• Admission must have been secured in a professional and technical course, which can be a diploma, graduation, or postgraduation degree, as explicitly mentioned in the Government Resolution (GR).
• Admission to the course must have been obtained through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
• The applicant must have maintained a minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester. This requirement is waived for fresh college admits who are just beginning their first semester.
• The annual family income of the applicant must be less than ₹8,00,000 from all sources.

Important Note: Students who are currently studying in Deemed Universities and Private Universities are strictly ineligible to apply for or benefit from this scheme.

The selection of candidates for this scholarship will be based strictly on the thorough fulfillment of all the aforementioned eligibility criteria.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following required documents to complete their scholarship application:

• Marksheets of Class 10 (SSC) and all subsequent academic years (i.e., Class 12, Diploma, Graduation, Postgraduation, as applicable).
• A valid Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra, proving residency in the state.
• The family's annual income certificate, issued by the competent authority, demonstrating that the family income is within the prescribed limit.
• All relevant CAP-related documents, which include the admission allotment letter and other proofs of admission through the Centralised Admission Process.
• Proof of biometric attendance, typically an interface with UIDAI, confirming the student's regular presence.
• An undertaking (self-declaration) stating explicitly that no more than two members from the applicant's immediate family are currently availing benefits from this specific scheme in the ongoing academic year.

Eligible applicants can apply for the DTE Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna (EBC) by following these steps:

1. Step 1: Visit the official website (mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in) and locate the scholarship application section.
2. Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and proceed to fill in all the necessary registration details. If you are already registered on the portal, you can directly log in using your Gmail account, Mobile number, or Email ID.
3. Step 3: After logging in or on the dashboard, navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button, usually found on the right-hand side, and click on it to start a new application.
4. Step 4: Carefully fill in all the required personal and academic details as prompted. Ensure you verify your email address and phone number as part of the registration process. Enter the captcha code accurately and then click on the 'Register' button to complete the initial registration.
5. Step 5: Upon successful registration on the portal, locate and click on the 'Applicant login' button, which is typically situated on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
6. Step 6: Log in to your applicant account using the username and password that you created during the registration process.
7. Step 7: Once logged in, fill in any remaining necessary details in the application form, upload all the required documents as specified, and then carefully review your entire application before finally clicking the submit button.
