About This Scholarship

The Chevening Research, Science, and Innovation Leadership Fellowship (CRISP) 2026-27 is a prestigious opportunity hosted by St. Cross College, University of Oxford. It is designed for postgraduate-level students and mid-career professionals in India who demonstrate very high potential in the fields of science, innovation, and business.

This program aims to provide substantial financial and developmental support, empowering future leaders to drive innovation and foster international collaboration. The fellowship is generously funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office.

The application deadline for this highly sought-after fellowship is 7 October 2025.

Successful candidates will receive comprehensive support, including:
Full programme fees, covering all academic costs associated with the fellowship.
Living expenses for the entire duration of their stay in the UK, ensuring comfortable accommodation and daily needs are met.
Return economy airfare from India to the UK, facilitating travel to and from the program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be a citizen of India and currently residing in the country
• return to India at the end of the fellowship
• not hold British or dual-British citizenship
• have at least seven years of relevant work experience before applying
• have a demonstrable commitment to innovation, and the experience and aptitude to contribute to the programme
• have a postgraduate level qualification and an excellent academic background in science, engineering, or technology, or equivalent professional training, or experience in a relevant area at the time of application
• have a working knowledge of English
• agree to adhere to all relevant guidelines and expectations for the fellowship

Successful individuals may have significant experience as:
• executives of service companies, manufacturing businesses, or state-owned companies
• entrepreneurs and individuals who serve and fund the entrepreneurial community
• research scientists
• academics and public-sector employees

Note:- Employees or relatives of an employee of the UK government, the British Council, a sponsoring UK university, or a staff member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities are ineligible for this fellowship.
