Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a citizen of India and currently residing in the country.
• Commit to returning to India at the end of the fellowship.
• Not hold British or dual-British citizenship.
• Possess a minimum of seven years of relevant work experience before applying.
• Have a postgraduate level qualification and an excellent academic background in science, engineering, or technology, or equivalent professional training, or substantial experience in a relevant area at the time of application.
• Demonstrate significant relevant work experience in cybersecurity or cyber policy issues.
• Note: Relevant experience can originate from a variety of sectors, including policy organisations, academia, corporate law, law enforcement, or journalism.
• Have a proficient working knowledge of English.
• Exhibit a demonstrable record of leadership and/or innovation.
• Agree to adhere to all relevant guidelines and expectations set forth for the fellowship.
Please Note:
Individuals who are employees or relatives of an employee of the UK government, the British Council, a sponsoring UK university, or a staff member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities are ineligible to apply for this fellowship.
