About This Scholarship
The BioWISE Scholarship 2025 is a collaborative initiative offered by the BeST Cluster, Biocon Foundation, and the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS). This program is specifically designed to empower and support women from Karnataka who are pursuing advanced studies and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), with a particular focus on the life sciences. It aims to foster the next generation of female leaders and innovators in these critical fields.
Selected students for the scholarship will receive a comprehensive support package to aid their academic and professional development. This includes:
• Scholarship support to assist with their academic journey.
• Dedicated mentorship from leading experts in various scientific and technological domains, offering invaluable guidance and insights.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• Be a female student currently in the final year of Post-Graduate studies, or have completed a degree in the last year.
• Have consistently demonstrated strong academic performance (minimum 75% marks in previous studies).
• Be enrolled in or graduated from a Tier 2 or Tier 3 college/university in Karnataka.
• Demonstrate interest in applied research.
• Have an annual family income not exceeding ₹6,00,000.
Note:
• Students or relatives affiliated with Biocon Group, BeST, or NCBS are not eligible.
• Preference will be given to first-generation learners.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
• Academic transcripts and certificates
• Proof of income
• Self-declaration form
• Aadhar card
• Passport-size photo
