About This Scholarship
The Anjum Chopra Sports Scholarship 2024, an initiative by PUSH Sports, is designed to empower women cricketers in India. This annual opportunity supports female athletes aged 14 to 25 who are actively playing for state teams. A total of 10 promising athletes are selected each year to benefit from this prestigious scholarship.
Selected candidates receive substantial financial assistance of ₹1,00,000 per annum. This fund is specifically allocated to cover the costs of high-quality training programs and to provide crucial match exposure through participation in domestic and international tours.
Beyond financial aid, the scholarship offers unparalleled development opportunities. Athletes gain the chance to train for a 12-month period with top-tier coaches at Push Sports Arenas located across India. Additionally, they receive invaluable mentorship from Mr. Puru Singh, a former coach of the Delhi Women’s U-23 Team, ensuring comprehensive guidance for their cricketing journey.
Applications for this scholarship are accepted throughout the year, allowing flexibility for interested candidates.
The selection process involves initial shortlisting based on eligibility criteria. Shortlisted candidates are then invited to a trial and interview session held at one of Push Sports' facilities in the Delhi NCR region. Applicants will be notified of the selection decision within 15 days of their trial.
Upon selection, athletes are required to sign a contract with Push Sports Management to formally access the scholarship benefits. This process also allows for negotiation between Push Sports management and the athlete regarding other aspects of player management.

• be a woman cricketer between the age of 14 and 25 years
