About This Scholarship
The AICTE Yashasvi (Young Achievers' Scholarship & Holistic Academic Skills Venture Initiative) Scheme 2024 is a significant opportunity for students pursuing technical education. Offered by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), this scheme aims to motivate and support students admitted to the first year of a degree or diploma program in core engineering branches within AICTE-approved institutions.
A total of 5,000 scholarships are awarded annually, with 2,500 for degree students and 2,500 for diploma students. This initiative specifically targets fields such as Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical engineering.
Selected candidates benefit from an annual scholarship amount. Degree students are eligible to receive ₹18,000 per year for a maximum of four years, while diploma students can receive ₹12,000 per year for a maximum of three years. The scholarship amount is disbursed annually via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Applications for first-year students remain open throughout the academic year until an official closure announcement is made.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AICTE Yashasvi Scheme 2024, applicants must meet the following general and academic criteria:
• Be an Indian national.
• Be admitted to the first year of a degree or diploma level course in any AICTE-approved institution for the respective academic year.
• Fulfill specific academic criteria based on their chosen program (degree or diploma).
The selection process is merit-based, considering the qualifying examination marks:
• For Degree Students:
• Selection is based solely on the merit of the qualifying examination (Class 12 marks).
• Applicants must be admitted to a core engineering branch (Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical) at any AICTE-approved institution.
• For Diploma Students:
• Selection is based solely on the merit of the qualifying examination (Class 10 marks).
• Applicants must be admitted to a core engineering diploma program (Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical) at any AICTE-approved institution.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents as part of their scholarship application:
• Academic Transcripts: This includes marksheets and certificates of all previous qualifying examinations (e.g., Class 10 and 12 marksheets).
• Admission Letter/Fee Receipts: Proof of admission to the first year of an AICTE-approved degree or diploma course, along with any relevant fee payment receipts.
• Identity Proof: A valid government-issued identity proof (e.g., Aadhaar card, PAN card).
• Domicile Certificate: If applicable, demonstrating proof of residence in India.
• Caste Certificate: If applicable, for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
• Disability Certificate: If applicable, for candidates with disabilities.
Ensure all documents are clear, legible, and uploaded in the specified format during the application process.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can follow these steps to apply for the AICTE Yashasvi Scheme 2024:
1. Visit the official application portal. Look for the scholarship application section.
2. If you are a new user, click on the 'Register' button on the dashboard and fill in the necessary details to create an account. If already registered, simply log in using your registered email ID and password.
3. Navigate to the 'Get your OTP' section (if prompted) and proceed with the application.
4. Now, navigate to the 'Register' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
5. Carefully read the guidelines and instructions for the scholarship scheme. Tick the checkbox to confirm you have read them and click on the 'Next' button. Register using a valid mobile number.
6. Complete the eKYC process using your Aadhaar card. If you do not have an Aadhaar card, you can use your Enrollment ID (EID) for Aadhaar.
7. After successful registration and eKYC, log in to the portal using your newly created or existing credentials.
8. Select the AICTE Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme, fill in all required details in the application form, upload the necessary documents, and finally, submit your application.
