AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Student 2025-26

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:

Step 1: Visit the official scholarship portal at `https://scholarships.gov.in/`.

Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).

Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.

Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Step 5: Click on the 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.

Step 6: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.

Step 7: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.

Step 8: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (This is a temporary registration number; students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)

Step 9: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.

Step 10: Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.

Note: All applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

intro_text: The AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls is a commendable initiative designed to promote technical education among young women. This scholarship aims to provide financial support to female students pursuing degree or diploma programs in AICTE-approved institutions, thereby encouraging their participation in technical fields.

A total of 10,000 scholarships are available each year, with 5,000 awarded for diploma programs and 5,000 for degree programs. Selected students will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹50,000 per year for each year of their studies until course completion. Additional grants will not be provided for hostel charges, medical charges, etc.

In addition to the above-mentioned number of scholarships, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will also award scholarships to all eligible females from specific Union Territories and North Eastern States who submit an online application. These include Andaman and Nicobar Islands (UT), Jammu and Kashmir (UT), Ladakh (UT), Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu (UT), Lakshadweep (UT), Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

eligibility_text: To be eligible, an applicant must:

• be a female Indian national
• be admitted to the first year of a diploma or degree program at an AICTE-approved institution OR
• be admitted to the second year of a diploma or degree program through lateral entry at an AICTE-approved institution for the respective year
• have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

Note: Up to two female members per family are eligible for this scholarship.

The scheme aims to ensure that these students can pursue technical education in AICTE-approved institutions without financial burden.

Selected candidates will receive a lump sum of ₹50,000 per year through the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) mode. This amount is intended to cover various educational expenses such as college fees, computer purchases, stationery, books, equipment, and software. It's important to note that this amount is for the entire year of study, and hostel and medical charges are not included.

The award duration is a maximum of 4 years for Degree students and a maximum of 3 years for Diploma students. Students already in higher years (2nd, 3rd, or 4th) will receive the scholarship for their remaining years of study.
