About This Scholarship
Acumen is currently accepting applications for its Acumen Fellowship Program 2020-21. This program is designed for dedicated leaders who possess an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach towards tackling injustice or poverty within their communities.
The selected cohort of fellows will embark on a transformative year-long training journey, focusing on self-development and self-enhancement. Twenty applicants will be chosen for the 2020-21 cohort, participating in extensive training sessions aimed at cultivating critical skills and attributes of moral leadership, empathy, deep immersion, understanding, and decisive action.
A significant benefit of this fellowship is that all program-related costs are fully covered during the fellowship year. This includes:
• Costs associated with seminars
• Lodging
• Food
• Visas
• Transportation
The selection process is rigorous and comprises four distinct stages:
• Stage 1: Initial application form submission.
• Stage 2: A subsequent application stage requiring two video submissions and comprehensive answers to short essay questions.
• Stage 3: Shortlisted finalists are invited to an immersive, all-day event. This stage includes group activities, individual pitches, and a formal panel interview.
• Stage 4: The final selection of fellows is made based on performance across all previous stages.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Acumen Fellowship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Working Professionals: Any working professional from any area of work, and from any sector (including government, non-government, NGOs, or corporate sectors), who is deeply dedicated to the eradication of poverty and injustice, committed to social change, and focused on self-enhancement, is encouraged to apply.
• English Proficiency: A strong proficiency in the English language is a mandatory requirement for all applicants.
• Citizenship Requirement: If an applicant's primary region of work is India, then they must also be a citizen of India.
