The official website, wbmcc.nic.in, will publish the seat matrix for Round 2 after 2 PM on December 19 . Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 can surrender them from 10 AM to 4 PM on December 18 . The results for Round 2 seat allotment will be declared after 2 PM on December 24 .
New PG Seats Included
Several new postgraduate medical seats have been added to the Round 2 seat matrix. These seats are currently awaiting formal Letters of Permission (LOP) from the National Medical Commission (NMC). The Directorate of Medical Education confirmed that LOPs for these newly sanctioned or increased PG seats for the academic year 2025-26 are in process.
An official notice clarifies that counselling authorities are not required to wait for institutional LOPs to include these seats. The list of seats uploaded on the official website is considered a valid document for the counselling process.
