Private medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh have significantly reduced postgraduate (PG) non-clinical tuition fees for the 2025-26 academic session. These reductions will save students Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh over a three-year course. The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME) published the revised fee structures. The fee cuts apply to non-clinical subjects. These include Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Community Medicine. Colleges stated the decision makes medical education more accessible.
Major Fee Reductions
Several institutions announced substantial price drops. United Institute of Medical Sciences, Prayagraj, shows the largest individual course fee reduction. Its annual fee for some non-clinical programs, previously Rs 17,23,022, is now Rs 55,000. This saves students Rs 50.04 lakh over three years.
GS Medical College and Hospital, Hapur, cut fees sharply. The highest government-fixed annual fee of Rs 13,68,036 is now Rs 11,000 for certain non-clinical MD courses. This totals a Rs 40.71 lakh saving over three years.
Rajshree Medical Research Institute, Bareilly, reduced its highest government-approved annual fee from Rs 16 lakh to Rs 11,000 for some non-clinical MD courses. This results in a Rs 47.94 lakh total fee reduction over three years.
