UP NEET UG 2025 Counselling: BDS Round 5 Merit List Released, 281 Qualify

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Uttar Pradesh, has released the Round 5 merit list for UP NEET UG counselling 2025. This list qualifies 281 candidates for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course admissions. Candidates can access the Uttar Pradesh NEET UG 2025 BDS merit list on the official website, upneet.gov.in .

Eligible candidates for state quota admission secured NEET UG 2025 cut-off scores ranging from 511 to 113 . The DME has initiated the online choice filling process for these shortlisted candidates.

Choice Filling and Security Deposits

Candidates allotted BDS seats must pay a security deposit. This deposit varies based on the institution type. A payment of Rs 30,000 is required for government sector dental course seats. For private college seats, the security deposit is Rs 1 lakh .

A uniform security deposit of Rs 1 lakh is mandatory for candidates wishing to participate in counselling for both government and private dental colleges. Failure to pay the required security deposit will result in ineligibility for the choice filling process.

Registration for Round 5

All eligible candidates must complete a new registration for Round 5 of UP NEET UG 2025 counselling. A separate registration fee of Rs 2,000 is required for participation. This fee applies to all new participants in this round.

However, candidates who registered and were unallocated in the first, second, third, or stray vacancy counselling rounds are exempt from paying the security amount again for Round 5. This exemption applies if they already paid the security deposit in a previous round.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must select a nodal centre for online verification of their documents during registration. This step is mandatory as per the official notification. Candidates must produce the following documents for verification during the counselling process:

  • Class 10 marksheet or certificate
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • NEET UG admit card and score card
  • Reservation certificate (OBC, SC, ST, EWS, EX. Army, NCC, FF, PwD) if applicable
  • Domicile certificate if applicable

Penalty for Non-Admission

Candidates who fail to take admission after being allotted a seat in Round 5 will face penalties. Their security deposit will be forfeited. Additionally, these candidates will be debarred from participating in UP NEET UG counselling for the 2026-27 academic session.
