LUCKNOW, U.P. – Uttar Pradesh NEET PG 2025 Round 1 counselling will begin on November 6 , 2024. The Director General Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, announced the schedule for state quota admissions to postgraduate MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses. A mandatory Rs 40 lakh bond applies to candidates accepting government medical or dental college seats.
Registrations for Round 1 will close on November 10 . The merit list will also be released on the same day. Seat allotment results, based on candidate choices, are scheduled for publication on November 17 .

Mandatory Service Bond
Candidates admitted to government medical or dental colleges must sign a mandatory bond. This bond requires two years of service within Uttar Pradesh. Failure to complete this service will result in a penalty of Rs 40 lakh . This policy applies to all government seat admissions for PG courses.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for UP NEET PG 2025 admission, candidates must meet specific requirements in addition to a valid NEET PG rank. The eligibility criteria include:
- Completion of a one-year compulsory rotatory internship on or before July 31 for MD, MS, diploma, and DNB courses.
- Completion of an MBBS degree from a government or private medical college in Uttar Pradesh for eligibility for government state quota seats and private seats.
- Candidates who completed their MBBS from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), AIIMS Raebareli, or AIIMS Gorakhpur are not eligible for admission under the government quota. They can apply for private seats in the state.
- Candidates with an undergraduate degree from outside Uttar Pradesh are eligible only for private medical seats within the state.
Application and Security Fees
A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 3,000 is required for the first three rounds of counselling. All eligible candidates must submit a fresh application form and registration fee for any stray vacancy rounds. A security deposit is also required, varying by the type of college chosen:
