The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) begins the UP Board 10th and 12th exams on February 18, 2026 . The examinations will conclude on March 12, 2026. Approximately 52.3 Lakh students are registered to appear for the Madhyamik (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) exams across the state.
Exam Details and Student Numbers
A total of 52,30,297 students registered for the UP Board exams this year. This includes 27,50,945 Class 10 students and 24,79,352 Class 12 students. The exams are being conducted at 8,033 designated centers statewide.

Exam Schedule and Shifts
The UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 theory exams will run from February 18 to March 12, 2026 . Exams will take place in two daily shifts.
- Shift 1: 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM
- Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
Key Examination Guidelines
Students must adhere to specific guidelines for the UP Board exams.
- Admit Card: A hard copy of the UP Board exam 2026 admit card is mandatory. Students must present it at the exam center.
- Entry: Late entry will not be permitted. Students cannot leave the exam hall before the exam concludes.
- Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, tablets, calculators, and other electronic devices are strictly forbidden inside the exam hall.
- Discipline: Students found engaging in cheating will be immediately disqualified and will not be allowed to continue their exams.
Exam Monitoring and Control Room
A control room has been established at the Director of Education’s camp office. Minister of State for Education Gulab Devi inaugurated the control room on February 17, 2026. This room will monitor exam activities across districts through online surveillance and regular reviews. It will also coordinate information, oversee law and order, and issue instructions for the smooth conduct of examinations.
