The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will offer class 12 students the chance to improve their exam scores. This new facility allows students to retake one subject. Nearly 2.5 million students are eligible for this opportunity.
Improvement Exam Details
The application process will open after the class 12 results are announced. Results are expected by the end of April. This is the first time UPMSP is providing an improvement exam for class 12 students.
Other boards like CBSE and CISCE already have similar improvement exam options. UPMSP has offered a compartment exam facility since 2020. Students failing a single subject can take a compartment exam for that specific paper.
Current Examination Security
The UP Board is currently conducting class 10 and 12 examinations. Security measures are heightened due to the Holi festival. District inspectors and centre superintendents must stay at their headquarters.
Round-the-clock security is in place for question papers and answer booklets. The examinations started on February 18. They will conclude on March 12.
Exams are held in two shifts daily. The morning shift runs from 8:30 am to 11:45 am. The afternoon shift is from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The exam period spans 15 working days.
