TS Inter 1st Year Exams Begin March 5: Maths, Zoology, History

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) begins examinations for 1st year Mathematics, Zoology, and History on March 5, 2026. These exams are scheduled for the morning shift, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Exam Details

The Mathematics 1B paper is worth 75 marks. The Zoology exam has a total of 100 marks, including 60 for the theory portion and 40 for practical assessment. History Paper-I for first-year students is a 100-mark theory exam. Students need a minimum of 35% in each subject to pass.

Key Guidelines for Candidates

TSBIE has issued specific instructions for students. Entry into the examination hall is permitted until 9:05 AM, offering a five-minute grace period after the 9:00 AM start time. Electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators, are strictly banned.

Students must be seated by 8:45 AM. The first 15 minutes are allocated for filling OMR sheets and reviewing the question paper. Permitted stationery includes blue or black ballpoint pens, pencils, erasers, and rulers. Sharing these items is prohibited.

Candidates should bring their hall ticket and a school or college identity card for verification. Hall tickets now feature a QR code for easy navigation to exam centers.

Exam Administration

A total of 1,495 exam centers are under surveillance. CCTV cameras are installed at all locations, monitored from a central control room with 31 screens at TSBIE headquarters. Approximately 7,500 cameras are in use.

Flying squads and district-level committees are in place to prevent malpractices. Xerox shops near exam venues will be closed during examination hours. The board warns of strict legal action, including criminal cases, for any copying or impersonation.

Practical examinations for TS Inter 1st year students were held earlier, from February 2 to February 21, 2026.
