TN Class 12 English Exam Tomorrow: March 5, 2026

The Tamil Nadu Class 12 English board exam begins tomorrow, March 5, 2026 . The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu (DGE TN) will conduct the exam from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM. This includes a 15-minute reading period for the question paper.

A total of 8,27,475 students are registered for the Tamil Nadu Class 12 board examinations. This figure comprises 7,99,692 regular students and 27,783 private candidates. The exams are scheduled to conclude on March 27, 2026.

Exam Structure and Marks

The Class 12 English exam carries a total of 100 marks . The paper is divided into four parts. Part 1 features 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) worth 20 marks. Part 2 includes short-answer questions for 14 marks. Part 3 consists of three-mark questions across three sections, totaling 21 marks. Part 4 requires seven descriptive questions, each worth 5 marks, accounting for 35 marks. An additional 10 marks are allocated for internal assessment.

Exam Day Guidelines
