Telangana IPE March 2026 Exams: Feb 25 – Mar 18

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) will conduct the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) March 2026 from February 25 to March 18, 2026 . The theory exams are scheduled daily from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon for both first and second-year students in General and Vocational streams.

Nearly 10 lakh students are expected to appear for the exams. This includes 489,126 first-year students and 507,949 second-year students. The total number of candidates is 997,075.

Student Numbers

First-year students in the General stream total 441,865. This is composed of 217,428 boys and 224,437 girls. In the Vocational stream, 47,261 first-year students will take the exams, with 22,586 boys and 24,675 girls.

For second-year students, 462,321 candidates are in the General stream. This group includes 231,471 boys and 230,850 girls. The Vocational stream has 45,628 second-year students. This consists of 22,429 boys and 23,199 girls.

Examination Infrastructure

The examinations will be held at 1,495 centers across Telangana. These centers are located in 404 government junior colleges, 221 government sector colleges, 863 private junior colleges, and seven other institutions.

To ensure smooth conduct, 1,495 chief superintendents and an equal number of departmental officers are appointed. Approximately 28,500 invigilators will also be present. The board has deployed 75 flying squads and 200 sitting squads to prevent malpractice.

Monitoring and Support

District-level and high-power committees, led by district collectors, will monitor the examinations. All exam centers are equipped with CCTV cameras. Footage is linked to a central command control room for real-time supervision.

Students must download their admit cards from the official website. They should verify all details before the exam dates. The TGBIE stated that strict action will follow any malpractice.

Tele-MANAS counselling services will be available 24/7. These services aim to help students manage stress and anxiety during the exam period.
