Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2025: 10,901 Eligible, Cut-offs Out

Tamil Nadu’s Directorate of Medical Education and Research released the NEET PG 2025 provisional merit list for Round 1 counselling. This list confirms 10,901 candidates are eligible for MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB admissions. These admissions cover both government and private medical colleges across the state.

Candidates on the merit list achieved NEET PG scores between 691 and 235 marks . The Selection Committee completed a thorough review of applications before publishing this essential list. This step precedes the official counselling process for postgraduate medical seats.

Eligibility Criteria and Cut-offs

The provisional merit list outlines eligibility for various postgraduate medical programs. For seats under the government quota, 6,989 candidates qualified. Their NEET PG scores ranged from 691 to 235. A separate list for management quota seats declared 3,912 candidates eligible. The cut-off for management quota applicants was between 681 and 235 marks.

Prior to this publication, the committee managed stages involving candidate validation. Initially, 921 candidates were deemed ineligible . These individuals received multiple opportunities to submit missing or valid documents. This process aimed to confirm reservation benefits where applicable.

In-service Doctors and Grievance Process

The selection process also considered in-service doctors. Five hundred seventy (570) in-service doctors received incentive marks. These marks reflect their years of service, providing an advantage in admissions. This policy supports doctors who have contributed to public health services.

A dedicated grievance portal remained open until October 29 . This portal served various categories, including government, management, NRI, minority (Linguistic, Religious), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and service quotas. It allowed applicants to address discrepancies or submit appeals regarding their eligibility or marks.

Quota-wise Distribution of Eligible Candidates

The provisional merit list provides a detailed breakdown of eligible candidates by quota. This transparency allows applicants to identify their position within specific reservation categories for Round 1 counselling.

Candidates must now await further announcements from the Directorate of Medical Education and Research. Subsequent counselling rounds, seat matrix details, and choice filling schedules will be published online. Staying informed about these dates is crucial for successful admission.
