NEW DELHI – The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) completed the re-examination for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2025 Tier-1 today, October 14. The provisional answer key, including re-exam responses, is expected to be released soon on the official portal, ssc.digialm.
Re-Examination Details
Approximately 55,000 candidates participated in the CGL Tier-1 re-test across multiple centers in India. This re-exam was conducted following technical disruptions and a fire incident during the original examination period.
Admit cards for the re-exam were made available to eligible candidates from October 9 on regional SSC websites.
Original Exam Disruptions
The initial Tier-1 examination ran from September 12 to 26. Out of about 28 lakh applicants, nearly 13.5 lakh candidates appeared across 255 centers in 126 cities over 45 shifts.
Disruptions necessitated the re-scheduling. A fire incident at a Mumbai center on September 26 affected one shift. Technical glitches, including server crashes and login errors, impacted around 25 shifts nationwide. The SSC rescheduled the exam for all verified affected candidates.
Reports of malpractice, such as remote access attempts, also emerged at certain exam centers. The SSC debarred candidates found to be involved in these activities. Aadhaar-based authentication was used to verify candidate identities throughout the exam process.
Answer Key and Objections
Candidates should monitor ssc.digialm for the provisional answer key release. An objection window is expected to open shortly after the key’s publication.
Candidates can challenge questions by paying a fee of Rs 100 per question during the specified period, as per SSC guidelines.
