The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) opened the option-cum-preference window for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) 2025 on March 9. Candidates can submit their post preferences until March 12 at 6 p.m. This process is for over 15,000 vacant posts.
SSC CGLE 2025 Vacancies and Preference Filling
A total of 15,130 vacancies have been announced for the SSC CGL recruitment 2025. The preference submission is a mandatory step for candidates who appeared in Tier 2 of the examination. This must be completed before the Tier 2 results are released.
Candidates access the preference portal through their ‘Candidates Login’ on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in. The preference submission facility is located under the ‘My Application Tab’.
Failure to submit preferences by the March 12 deadline will result in the candidate’s exclusion from the final merit list and selection. No further opportunities will be provided to exercise these options.
Important Instructions for Candidates
The SSC notice advises all candidates to verify their eligibility for Physical and Medical standards for their preferred posts before submitting the preference form. Submitting a preference for a post that does not meet these standards could lead to disqualification.
Candidates with disabilities (PwBD) must select only those posts identified as suitable for their specific disability. If a PwBD candidate is allocated a post unsuitable for their disability, their candidature will be cancelled by the user department.
After filling in all preferences, candidates must click the ‘Submit’ button to finalize their entries. The SSC has also introduced a ‘sliding mechanism’ to potentially fill vacancies resulting from candidates not joining or being absent from document verification.
