The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has scheduled the Computer Based Test 1 (CBT 1) for Graduate Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts. The examination will take place from March 16 to March 27, 2025 .
Exam Schedule and Access
Candidates who successfully clear CBT 1 will be eligible to appear for the RRB NTPC Graduate CBT 2 exam. City intimation slips and travel authorities for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates will be available for download starting March 6, 2025 . This release occurs 10 days prior to the examination.
The admit card for the RRB NTPC Graduate CBT 1 will be issued on March 12, 2025 . This is four days before the exam begins. Candidates can retrieve their admit cards from their respective RRB regional websites.
Aadhaar Verification Requirements
Aadhaar-linked biometric verification is mandatory for all candidates. Applicants must bring their original or e-verified Aadhaar card to the examination center. This is stated in the official notice released by the RRB.
Candidates who did not complete Aadhaar verification during the application process must log in to rrbapply.gov.in using their credentials. This step is necessary for smooth entry into the exam center. The notice also advises all candidates, including those who verified Aadhaar earlier, to keep their Aadhaar active in the UIDAI system before the exam. This ensures streamlined registration procedures on exam day.
Exam Details and Structure
The RRB NTPC Graduate CBT 1 exam comprises four sections. These sections are General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence, and Reasoning. The exam will contain a total of 100 questions.
General Awareness will have 40 questions. Mathematics and General Intelligence & Reasoning sections will each have 30 questions. The total time allotted for the exam is 90 minutes for general candidates. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be given 120 minutes .
According to the RRB NTPC marking scheme, a penalty of one-third of the marks will be applied for each incorrect answer. Candidates should carefully consider their responses to avoid negative marking.
