RRB Group D Recruitment 2026: Deadline Extended to March 9

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have extended the registration deadline for the Group D Level-1 recruitment exam. Candidates now have until March 9 to apply for positions under the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix. The deadline for submitting application fees is March 11 .

Application and Correction Details

The official application portal is located at rrbapply.gov.in. Following the initial registration, a window for correcting application form details will open from March 12 to March 21 . Applicants should note that specific fields, including those in the ‘create an account’ form and the ‘chosen railway’ selection, are not editable. Information regarding scribes for eligible candidates can be updated between March 22 and March 26 .

Application Guidelines

Candidates must select only one RRB or railway zone. They should indicate their post preferences within that chosen zone. Submitting multiple applications to different or the same RRBs will result in the rejection of all submitted applications.

Fee Structure and Refund

The application fee for candidates in the General category is Rs 500. A refund of Rs 400, minus bank charges, will be issued after candidates appear for the Computer-Based Test (CBT). For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD), female, transgender, minority communities, and Economically Backward Class categories, the fee is Rs 250. This amount will also be refunded after appearing for the CBT.
