Punjab NEET PG Round 3 Registration Extended to Jan 8

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, extended the Punjab National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counselling round 3 registration deadline to January 8 . This extension applies to candidates seeking admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) courses.

The registration portal is available on the official BFUHS website, bfuhs.ac.in. This decision provides an additional opportunity for eligible medical graduates to apply for postgraduate medical seats in Punjab’s state medical colleges.

Before the extension, a total of 595 candidates had completed the willingness submission process for round 3 of Punjab NEET PG 2025 counselling. Candidate preferences varied: 435 students indicated willingness for both private and government colleges, while 160 students exclusively chose government medical college seats.

Consequently, the remaining Punjab NEET PG counselling schedule, including merit list publication and choice filling, has been postponed. BFUHS stated that new dates will be announced once the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) releases its round 3 state counselling schedule. The counselling process is interdependent on the national schedule.

The MCC has not yet provided any specific clarification regarding its NEET PG round 3 counselling process. This delay comes three weeks after the committee’s initial announcement of the counselling schedule. As per the revised NEET PG 2025 counselling dates, which were released on December 17 , the MCC All India Quota (AIQ) round 3 counselling was originally set for completion by January 2 . The deadline for submitting data on admitted candidates under the AIQ was designated as January 12 .
